Celebrate Arbor Day with a Tree Planting Workshop
You are invited to learn about: Selecting trees and shrubs for Fairbanks, Site selection, Planting and Tree Care. Why? Trees add more than color and beauty to our towns. Trees and other plants reduce runoff, prevent soil erosion, and keep the water in our rivers and lakes clean. Trees provide screening, absorb noise, and can act as buffers between different land uses. Forests provide homes for birds and wildlife and natural places to recreate. They bring nature into our neighborhoods.
